Meet OLIVIA!

Born in Orange County and raised just outside of San Francisco, California, I discovered my passion for the arts at an early age. At just four years old, I fell in love with music, singing, and chanting prayers in Hebrew school. My journey in musical theatre began at age eight with community theatre, where I debuted as Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka. While my roles have since become more fitting for my age, my passion for the stage only grew stronger, leading me to attend Marin School of the Arts for high school.

Currently, I am pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre with a Minor in Dance at The University of Texas at Arlington. My collegiate journey has been filled with exciting opportunities, including playing “Chanteuse” in Cabaret (where I had the joy of singing “Married” alongside Fraulein Schneider and Herr Schultz), stepping into the lead role of Pamela in Head Over Heels with just two weeks’ notice, and most recently embodying Hélène in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.

Outside of school, I’ve had the privilege of giving back to my community as a teaching artist at Cinnabar Theatre during the summer. Working with kids aged 7-12 in a three-week course called Dramalab, I guide students through the basics of movement, voice, and improv in week one, explore combat, dance, and makeup in week two, and wrap up with production and performance in week three. I’m thrilled to return for another summer of creativity and inspiration with these young performers.

When I’m not on stage, you’ll find me singing with my a cappella group, RISE, baking something sweet in the kitchen, or spending time with my cat. I’ve also cherished my involvement in my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, where I’ve honed leadership skills through roles such as Vice President Recruitment Information and Vice President Risk Management, as well as various chair positions. These experiences have helped me grow both personally and professionally.

During my college years, I also explored the technical side of theatre as an assistant stage manager, an experience that gave me a newfound respect for the artistry behind the scenes. This holistic understanding of the field inspires me as I prepare to graduate this spring and move to New York City to pursue my dreams.

My love for theatre is rooted in its power to transform—both the performer and the audience. A production of Into the Woods three years ago profoundly solidified my desire to pursue theatre. The show’s themes of community and its ability to leave the audience changed moved me deeply, reminding me of why I chose this path in the first place. New York offers a thrilling opportunity to grow as a performer while immersing myself in a vibrant community of like-minded artists. I’m eager to explore new facets of theatre, revisit my roots in Shakespeare, and continue refining my dance skills across diverse styles. The energy and endless opportunities of the city excite and inspire me as I step into the next chapter of my journey.

Though leaving college is bittersweet, I’m ready to embrace what lies ahead with open arms. These past four years have shaped me in countless ways, and I look forward to carrying those lessons with me as I continue striving to create, connect, and inspire through the magic of theatre.
